Myka is a research analyst from the Bay Area, with interests involving community health and research. She has recently obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Public Health from San Jose State University, where she was a member of the public health honor society and devoted her time to numerous volunteer opportunities in the Santa Clara County and Contra Costa County. Her voluntarism and research background includes aiding in the TRACK covid study, a public health surveillance initiative to understand the incidence and transmission of COVID-19 in the Bay Area. She has also collaborated to assist in community health education towards the Asian American community in the GLOW program at AACI. During her time in this role, she educated young adults on numerous health topics including risk factors associated with HIV, Hepatitis C, and substance use. She enjoys her role as a research analyst for the CARE Registry where she is able to support increasing research participation for the AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander) community and is honored to help support representation for AANHPIs.
