Yuchen Gao is a Research Analyst at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), in the School of Nursing. She holds a M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Communications.

Her previous research focused on public opinion and identity in Taiwan, with an emphasis on how information environments shape political attitudes. At UCSF, her work is now oriented toward health and community well-being among Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) populations. She is interested in applying survey-based and quantitative methods to better understand health-related decision-making in diverse Asian communities.
