Dr. Tiet is a practicing, licensed clinical psychologist, an educator,
and a researcher. Clinically, he has worked with the Vietnamese,
Chinese, and other Asian communities for about 30 years in various roles
in the San Francisco bay area, Colorado, and the New York tri-state
area. In the past 15 years, he has served as a consulting clinical
psychologist at the Hong Fook adult services centers in Oakland, CA. As
an educator, he was an Assistant Professor at Columbia University, and
an Associate Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of
Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry (affiliate) for 15 years.
Currently, he is a full Professor at the Clinical Psychology Ph.D.
Program at the California School of Professional Psychology, where he
has trained hundreds of Ph.D. clinical psychologists. As a researcher,
he has conducted many research studies and has supervised the
recruitment of over 6,000 study participants for all of his studies
combined. In addition, he has supervised the recruitment of other
thousands of participants in his students’ dissertations.
