Ms. Antonio served as Executive Director of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines and her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at the University of California San Francisco. She is a past recipient of the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA) Excellence Award in Nursing Administration. Ms. Antonio has had 40 + years of progressive healthcare experience in administration, management and consulting positions with emphasis in the operations of long term care facilities, retirement community, and vocational nursing school. She had set up new programs including Alzheimer’s units in skilled and assisted living facilities, restructured and streamlined operations, increased operating efficiencies and reduced costs. During the span of her professional career, Ms. Antonio has held nursing positions which included Director of Nursing Services, Director of Staff Development, and Nursing Consultant. Other long term care management positions held include Director of Professional Services, Director of Clinical Services, and Vice President of Operations. Prior to her retirement, Ms. Antonio worked as the Director of Health Services at Channing House, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Palo Alto, California. She was responsible for the management of the health services provided to the residents of Channing House and she managed the skilled nursing unit, the assisted living unit, and the clinic servicing the independent living residents. Since retirement, she has volunteered in church activities in her parish and is a member of the Dominican Laity. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International. She believes in the holistic approach of promoting physical, mental and spiritual health. She walks 10,000 steps a day.
