Rejie Marie Baloyos is a Filipino immigrant who has dedicated her career to serving low-income individuals, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, and other vulnerable groups. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Asian Resources, Inc. (ARI). Prior to this role, Ms. Baloyos worked at My Sister's House, a nonprofit organization providing support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, where she offered case management and represented clients in humanitarian immigration cases before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
In 2015, the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence honored her as Advocate of the Year. She is a CORO Fellow through the Human Trafficking Leadership Academy and a LEAP Fellow through VALORUS. Ms. Baloyos was also recognized as one of the Top 20 AAPI Change Makers by The Sacramento Bee and the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program.
She currently serves on the board of the OCA Sacramento Chapter and is a member of the Sacramento County Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Commission. Ms. Baloyos holds a Master’s degree in International and Multicultural Education with a focus on Human Rights from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the Philippines.
