Becky Nguyen, MPH, MPA

Becky Nguyen is the Executive Director at the Vietnamese American Cancer Foundation (VACF) where she has developed and managed sustainable and financially healthy operations to provide impactful and responsive services addressing primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of prevention for cancer and cancer-related health needs in the community. She is leading VACF in developing numerous collaborations with community agencies, contributing to academic research effort, partnering in community based participatory research, and advancing community health efforts to be more inclusive to address health disparities by involving multi-disciplinary entities and sectors. Becky currently serves as member of the community advisory board for the University of California, Irvine, Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Prior to her joining VACF in 2012 Becky served as the Director of Respite and Childcare Services at United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County. She was an executive founding board member of Asian and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California. She holds double Masters in Public Health with a focus on Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and Public Administration. She truly believes in the community efforts and that community health issues take the whole community (all of us) to address it.
