Va’atausili Tofaeono, MBA

Va’atausili Tofaeono is a Samoan researcher with approximately 20 years of public health experience. He is currently a PhD student while serving as Principal Investigator for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) studies in American Samoa. His ADRD interests include social determinants and cultural perspectives that are not being included in ADRD screening tools in American Samoans, or in some gold standard practices, nullifying their clinical efficacy. Additionally, ADRD health literacy, knowledge, and prevalence of genetic and plasma biomarkers.
